The New iPad Review

I went to the Apple Store in Irvine Spectrum to check out the New iPad... Here are my observations (I own the original iPad, and have used the iPad 2 which I bought for my father):

1. I love the display... This is indeed the most beautiful display.  I checked out several high resolution photographs, and zoomed in several times to see whether the tiniest of details can be seen without getting pixelated. The New iPad portrays images with incredible depth. If you want to browse, preview or interact with high-res photos, art, images and more, the New iPad is the best tablet out there.

2. I love the camera... I captured some photos and also shot some videos.  The photos are looking way better than the iPad 2 and even better than my iPhone 4. The videos are shot in HD, and look great also. When you playback HD videos, two black bands appear on the top and the bottom; this happens because of the screen aspect ratio. Frankly, if you love taking photos and videos of your family, outdoors, and just about anything, this is a great reason to buy the New iPad.

3. I love the performance... The New iPad is super fast, compared to the iPad and iPad 2. I would like to compare results from the speed test, but I could see that the apps load faster, perform better, and appear great owing to the high resolution. I downloaded the latest interactive iBook on Earth, and the experience of reading it and interacting with it was fast and awesome!

4. I love the apps... especially the ones that can now help you create and work with content, edit photos and videos, and even music i.e. iMovie, iPhoto, GarageBand. The productivity apps also performed well including Pages, Keynote and Numbers. Can the New iPad finally become a content creation device, and not just content viewing? This could be the clincher for Apple.

5. I love the connectivity... The 4G LTE and built in cellular antennas make this New iPad a Global iPad. The promise of being able to connect to any network in the world, whether its 4G or 3G, and on various technologies makes this iPad a blessing for world travelers. And the icing on the cake: You can use your iPad as a personal hotspot! So now you can connect your other devices over Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or USB, and use the Internet at will.

There is a lot to love in the New iPad. The big question is whether to upgrade or not from your existing iPads? If you can find a buyer for your old iPad or can give it to a family member or friend (or even donate it to a school), by all means do that!! This New iPad is the most amazing iPad yet!!

Apple's New iPad is one of its best innovations, both for education and business, and is poised to expand the creativity and innovation among students and adults alike. It is quite possibly the funnest gadget!

Apple iPad 3 - The Most Amazing iPad

Apple is getting ready to launch the third generation iPad, the iPad 3. Apple is firing on all cylinders: Apple had the biggest quarter in its storied history, Tim Cook stepped in as the new CEO since Steve Jobs' passing, and Apple stock just shot past $500. Apple iPad 3 is still Steve Jobs' baby (he must have been totally involved in designing it) , and it will be the most amazing iPad yet.

What will make the iPad 3 insanely great?
1. Awesome Performance: Expect iPad 3 to include a quad-core processor that will blow your socks off. It will make the iPad 3 the fastest iPad yet. How fast? It will be insanely fast, at least four to six times faster than the current tablets, and may require the owners to well, put on the brakes!

2. Beautiful Display: The latest iPad may have the most beautiful retina display which will make a pixel feel really small! The display resolution would be so great that the pixel comparisons will become meaningless for this form factor. Expect the most vivid colors from an ultra high definition display.

3. High Definition Camera: Why should the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S have high definition cameras, and not the iPad? This is about to change. The iPad 3 may be equipped with the latest HD camera with flash which will make it possible to point, shoot, click and record, even in low-light conditions. How about air play and direct HDMI playback?

4. 4G Connectivity: Wouldn't it be great if iPad owners could get the same performance even when there is no WiFi available? The latest iPad 3 may provide super fast 4G connectivity that utilizes the latest mobile technology and performance.

5. Siri & Beyond: The latest iPad 3 will come with Siri, the intelligent butler, I mean, personal assistant that will help get things done! You have a question, Siri has an answer! So ask away all you want, and oh, be pleasantly surprised to hear Siri answer back in full stereo sound!

6. Apps, Apps, Apps: Expect Apple to promote new productivity, entertainment and education apps that will capitalize on the iPad 3's performance, display, camera, interactivity and connectivity. Which app will make the new iPad 3 shine and bring out the true colors?

About the only thing missing from the new iPad 3 launch will be Steve Jobs' legendary presentation, and "there's one more thing!" We will miss you Steve!!

"Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while. That’s because they were able to connect experiences they’ve had and synthesize new things. And the reason they were able to do that was that they’ve had more experiences or they have thought more about their experiences than other people."- Steve Jobs

Apple Creates History with New iBooks Textbooks

"Apple announced iBooks 2 for iPad, featuring iBooks textbooks, an entirely new kind of textbook that’s dynamic, engaging, and truly interactive. iBooks textbooks offer iPad users gorgeous, full-screen textbooks with interactive animations, diagrams, photos, videos, and unrivaled navigation. Leading education services companies including Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, McGraw-Hill, and Pearson will deliver educational titles on the iBookstore, with most priced at $14.99 or less. And with the new iBooks Author, anyone with a Mac can create iBooks textbooks and publish them to Apple’s iBookstore. Starting today, iBooks 2 is available free from the App Store and iBooks Author is available free from the Mac App Store"

Textbooks they won’t want to put down. "A Multi-Touch textbook on iPad is a gorgeous, full-screen experience full of interactive diagrams, photos, and videos. No longer limited to static pictures to illustrate the text, now students can dive into an image with interactive captions, rotate a 3D object, or have the answer spring to life in a chapter review. They can flip through a book by simply sliding a finger along the bottom of the screen. Highlighting text, taking notes, searching for content, and finding definitions in the glossary are just as easy. And with all their books on a single iPad, students will have no problem carrying them wherever they go."

Bottomline:
The new iBooks Textbooks is an amazing innovation! I downloaded a couple of samples from the iBooks store, and also the awesome "Life on Earth". My kids and I were totally blown away by the quality of the textbooks, the interactivity and the overall experience! (about the only glitch was iBooks 2 hanging up when you launch the new textbook! But this problem seems to be intermittent.) Last year, when my son and I were driving to Los Angeles, I remember having a conversation with him in the car about how the next generation of eBooks should be interactive... when my son was in middle school, he was aspiring to be a writer (now he loves Physics). So, I was telling him that he should design eBooks that spring out from a reader, as if the story within becomes alive and real! For instance, while you are reading a paragraph, you can tap to make the whole story come to life! Wouldn't that be amazing! With the introduction of iBooks Textbooks, we are getting a whole lot closer!! These iBooks are interactive, intelligent and immersing! Would students learn more from these new iBooks? Would students gain more knowledge in a faster time? Would students with learning disability benefit further from these textbooks? Would teachers enjoy teaching through this new medium? Would iBooks textbooks fundamentally change how education is disseminated and consumed? Lots of intriguing questions will need to be answered in the coming year. Apple has the support of major education publishers. Apple iBooks Textbooks could become the new learning standard, and as history may note, usher in a new era of innovative education!

How To Jailbreak iPhone 4?

How it works, what risks it carries, what penalties you can suffer for it, etc. We will cover all details in this article on anything you would want to know about it. We will first start with a little about the process of jailbreaking. It is essential to understand the procedure before you start the process.

Jailbreak iPhone 4: What it means for you

The process of jailbreaking is simply a way to get around the restrictions and limitations imposed by the iOS operating system. Through this process users are able to download apps, extensions, themes, etc. that are not available on the official Apple App Store. A user whose iPhone has undergone the process of jailbreak can still access the Apple App Store to download apps. While jailbreaking is not illegal in the United States due to the Digital Millenium Copyright Act, Apple has announced that any phone which has been jailbroken will forfeit its warranty services. The process of jailbreaking for the iPhone 4 is simple if you follow the given steps of instruction. The services have been provided by jailbreakme.com.

Jailbreak iPhone 4: Instructions

The iPhone 4 is a great device which has loads of improvements in its features in comparison to its predecessors. The new technologies and software upgrades makes it a tougher phone to jailbreak. But to jailbreak iPhone 4 you need to follow the step by step instruction given in this article. First you need to open Safari on your iPhone 4 and go to jailbreakme.com. Once the site has finished loading you need to swipe your finger in the section where it says "Slide To Jailbreak". Now you watch as your device starts downloading the data required for jailbreaking. After it downloads the software will start installing on your iPhone and the screen will say, "Jailbreaking. Sit tight." Once the installation is complete your phone will get a pop up message saying that the Clydia icon has been added to your springboard. Go to the home screen and click the Clydia icon and after that click the option for User on the subsequent screen that follows. You will come to a screen where it says Manage. Once on this screen, click the second item which says sources. After that you click on edit, the buttons change and then you click Add, enter your Cydia URL (cydia.hackulo.us). You will encounter a warning message but select Add Anyway. Once this process is over you press User (Graphical Only) and upon selecting it you will come to the page which asks you which App sync you want. Select the third option and this completes your jailbreak iPhone 4.

iPhone 4 - How Much Personal Information Goes Out When You Start Your Favorite App?

A recent study by Eric Smith, the assistant director of information security and networking at Bucknell, found that 68% of the most popular free Apps for the iPhone sent personal information without the user knowing. Each time that certain applications were launched they would send information such as the phone ID# along a network that eavesdroppers could easily use. Some applications even sent the users name and location exposing many users of the popular iPhone 4 and earlier models to information thieves. Sounds awfully similar to issues with laptops and desktops, right?

Mr. Smith closely examined 57 free applications from the App Store, used by iPhones, to see if they were sending information out without proper security. The results came after last week's discovery that many Google Android apps were sending out personal information when opened. What Eric Smith found was 38 of 57 apps were sending unique device IDs every time they were launched and 11 were sending encrypted codes which made it hard to tell what they were sending. Only 8 of 57 apps were not sending any information. Why would they do this?

The main reason that iPhone applications would be sending information Mr. Smith said in his report, is for advertising. Most free apps make their money through selling advertising space. The information that is collected could conceivably be used to create profiles on the different users of the application. The information in the profile could include browsing patterns, app usage, and location. That information could be sold by the ones collecting it or stolen by people eavesdropping on the network. The information would be able to tell the one viewing it where an iPhone user is at any given time. This is not an uncommon practice, but kind of scary don't you think?

The iPhones and the new iPhone 4 are not the only smart phones that are sending information. In fact studies have found that apps across all smart phone platforms, including the iPhone 4's biggest rival the Android series, are sending out sensitive information. With this breaking news and the imminent release of the white iPhone 4 it will be interesting to see how Apple will handle the report going forward. Apple currently instructs all of it App developers, "not to publicly associate a device's unique identifier with a user account," and that applications need to let the users, "know precisely what you're going to do with their data." However, apps from major brands seem to sidestep these guidelines. At the time of this writing, Amazon's app communicates the logged in users name and device ID without even encrypting it leaving many users vulnerable.

Anyone looking to get the iPhone 4 must now take this new threat in to consideration. Apple will need to step up and address the issues so that people are confident their private information will not be easily stolen or, even better, sent at all. As it stands every iPhone 4 and smart phone user must be wary of who can see their phone ID and location.

Free iPhone 4 Offers - How You Can Get a Free iPhone 4 in 3 Easy Steps

It seems like anyone who is anyone has an "i" something. The iPod, iPad, or maybe even the iPhone. But if you are living on a tight budget like most of us, getting one of these cool "i" products may be out of reach. Unless you are a little bit crafty. And if you are, then you can get yourself a FREE iPhone 4 just by following a few simple steps.

Just think about it. Being able to get yourself one of the those Apple iPhones would be fantastic. Right? I mean come on, have you seen all those apps you can get? Everything from time sheets for your business to cartoons for your kids. Boy, I bet my parents would have liked to have an iPhone when I was a kid. An instant tantrum calmer.

Anyway, having an Apple iPhone is just about a necessity anymore. That is if you want to keep up on the latest trends. And for those of us determined consumers (not to mention bargain shoppers), getting a FREE iPhone 4 instead of plopping down $400 for one makes it even sweeter.

So, how can you go about getting an iPhone 4 for free? Just follow some simple steps and that baby can be yours.

First: Find a Reliable Site:

Test and Own Offer Sites can be found on the Internet right now. Since the iPhone 4 is rather new, manufacturing partners, developers, potential advertisers want to make sure that the product is in fact good and reliable. And to do this they need consumers to sign up and test the phones for bugs. And to pay the tester for his/her time, the company will allow the tester to keep the product. Sounds great, huh?

By doing this, these companies can actually save themselves money in the long run, as developing apps and advertising is much more expensive than a few free iPhones.

Second: Submit Your Zip Code

Entering your zip code when looking for a FREE iPhone is necessary. Why? Well the reason these companies are offering the phone for free in the first place is for some type of market research. And they want to be sure that they are targeting their intended audience.

For example, if the company plans on advertising the iPhone in Europe, then testers in America would not be who they are looking for. Rather they want their target market testing the product and giving them reliable feedback.

Third: Take Advantage of Some Offers:

Depending on the site, offers will vary. While some of them are free, others may cost something. But if the cost is rather minimal...let's say $1, then that would be quite worth it to get a FREE iPhone 4. Don't you think?

Your best bet is to find offers that will either not cost you anything or ones that you would like to try and may even offer a money back guarantee. That way, if you are not happy, then you do not lose anything. But you can gain an iPhone 4 for free.

Social Networking On The Excellent iPhone 4

The iPhone4 offers users a great range of connectivity options which enable a multitude of internet facilities to be used on the phone. These features are not limited to purely web browsing but also include location services and the ability to download new music and applications. For the younger generation however the most frequently used online features are social networking services such as Facebook and Twitter. Here we take a look at the social networking aspects of the iPhone 4.

At present the handset does not come with any pre installed applications but via the Apple App Store there are numerous available for download. The Facebook application is free and is perhaps the most impressive, giving you many of the features that are included in the full version. The advantage of having a feature such as this on your phone is that it is much more versatile than a laptop version. The user has the ability to check into locations to inform friends of where they are at present. To do this the application uses the phones in built global positioning and is a useful tool if you are meeting friends on a night out for example. The uploading of photographs is also a useful feature when you are mobile. The iPhone 4 boasts a high quality 5 mega pixel camera together with a 720P HD video capture facility. Once you have captured your desired image or footage this can be easily posted to your Facebook page for all of your friends and family to view. Even when you are not browsing Facebook the handset still can keep you updated with friends activities by way of the clever notification system that will alert you to a whole range of information including new messages, wall posts and check ins.

This autumn we will see a new software update for the iPhone 4 which will offer over 200 changes to how the handset works. One of the major changes will see Twitter integrated into the phones operating system. This will offer a host of benefits for users of this platform. One of the major advantages is that you will now be able to take a photograph and post it immediately to Twitter without the need to access a separate application. This direct Tweeting is not restricted to just photographs and can also be done from within the Safari web browser, maps and the integrated YouTube service. Your Twitter friends are also merged with your own contacts list which makes it simple to mention an acquaintance within a post. There are numerous Twitter applications available for download on the iPhone 4 but this new version will remove the need for many of them and make social networking easier than ever.

There are many superb features incorporated on the iPhone 4 but it is these social networking facilities which will make the phone appeal to the highly lucrative younger market. The new Twitter integration is particularly interesting and should see the phone take on a whole new identity once the new operating system software is released.
